Time and Time Again

Published in January 2021, Time and Time Again is the second book in the Ivyford Chronicles series. It's a complex tale spanning multiple time zones and takes Danny, Rachel and D.I. Blake into terrifying new territory.

The story is set in the seaside town of Teignmouth and the village of Ivyford. The image above was produced by the fabulously talented Cadan Welch and depicts a scene from Chapter Nine.

The story itself comes from events that occurred during my childhood. We lived in a house on Kingsway that we believe was haunted and I wanted to explore a potential back story to the things that we experienced. Once I'd decided on that, it became fairly obvious that I should use Teignmouth as the primary location.

The image above, also produced by Cadan Welch, shows the mass of darkness gathering over the town of Teignmouth towards the end of the story. While some of the subject matter explored in Time and Time Again is quite grim, it reinforces my belief that if a writer is depicting the worst of humanity, there is a responsibility to make it believable. I'm incredibly proud of this book and consider it some of the best work that I have ever produced.

The third piece that Cadan produced for Time and Time Again, depicts a scene from very early on in the story, where Heidi Jennings takes hold of Nancy's hand and time fractures. I love this piece, especially how it subtly shows the different versions of Heidi that you might not notice at first glance. A stunning piece of work.

The image below was a mock newspaper cover that I created to tie in with Time And Time Again and an as yet untold Ivyford Chronicle.
